Chef Jack Reads on TV:

Your host, Jack Burton, is a featured guest on Penelope La Montagne's "Poetry Cafe" this month, reading from his forthcoming book Dreamsalad Picnic. "Poetry Cafe" appears on cable channel 72 in Santa Rosa on Mondays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays at 4 p.m. Jack's show will air each Monday and Saturday in November.

(Poetry Cafe is an opportunity for authors, writers, and visual artists   both local and no-so-local   to get their original work on the air. In December, Penelope will feature the writing of Vietnam vets and a Vietnam widow.)

There is a new hotel on the Healdsburg Plaza. In a space long vacant, development is nearing completion on a tasteful complex that will include fifty-five rooms and a great restaurant.
