A Summer Road Trip to Oregon's High Desert

Our long-anticipated summer 2001 drive began with a visit to the Portland Farmers Market. It was a sunny Saturday morning and we enjoyed the company of old friends while we shopped for the afternoon's picnic. We were on our way to the east side of the Cascade Mountains and the high, lonesome desert of Oregon's Lake County.
