Enjoy a night or a few in the Wine Country:

Navarro Vineyards in the Anderson Valley

The Boonville Hotel   A Roadhouse in Alexander Valley
Hwy 128 at Lambert Lane
P.O. Box 326
Boonville, CA 95415

Halfway between the Mendocino Coast and Sonoma's Alexander Valley, the tiny town of Boonville (population about 700) is a favorite winter retreat. We like the coziness of the place after a day at Anderson Valley wine tasting and bird watching, not to mention the wonderful dinners in the hotel's restaurant.

Misty sunrise at Valley Oaks Ranch, Fetzer Vineyards

Fetzer Vineyards Valley Oaks Ranch
13601 Eastside Road
Hopland, CA (Mendocino Co.)
707-744-7600 (1-800-846-8637)

Just an hour north of Healdsburg, we like to take a room at the ranch's B&B as a mini-getaway for quiet walks in the gardens, great wine picnics, and watching the resident barn owls in the moonlight.

San Francisco Day-Tripping:

From anywhere in the Wine Country, you can make your way to the Golden Gate Ferry docks at either Larkspur or Sausalito and leave your car behind for a carefree trip in the city. Bheck out the current schedules and enjoy a cocktail on the fantail!
